I feel lost in my own house is a photo series shot by photographer Son Nguyen and model/dancer Suki Ly in 2025. Shot in a dark room, using only natural light from the outside world, the photoshoot attempted to visualize the feeling of social isolation, of being stuck in the same confined headspace for a long time, aware but unable to escape.
Through this photoshoot, we would like to bring awareness to the modern loneliness epidemic. A recent research from WHO showed that around 16% of people worldwide – one in six – are experiencing loneliness. We hope this photoshoot will remind you to check on those friends, coworkers, or relatives that you haven’t talked to in a while. To let them know that they don’t have to fight through their inner battle alone.
